Scaper Purchases John Crichton's Costume For $20,000

img_0004.jpgDuring the Costume Auction, a Scaper purchased John Crichton's leather and cloth coat for $10,500 as well as the rest of his outfit (red and black leather vest, leather pants, gun belt, and boots) for another $10,000. Scapers spent Sunday afternoon trying on the coat.

During his appearance on stage, Ben urged whomever purchases the coat not to repair the holes in the hem because they are actually burns made by the pyros used on set. He said that each hole was an attempt to blow him up. He also requested, wistfully, that whomever wins the coat and the rest of the costume during the auction have the graciousness to either lend it back to The Henson Company or sell it back should there ever be a Farscape movie. Both Ben and Fran (as well as Rebecca Riggs) mentioned how sad it was to see those costumes for sale. But congratulations to the lucky (and rich) Scaper who finally purchsed them.
